From 2012 until 2016 I curated and ran a series of underground non-profit pop-up cinema screenings at Panke and other locations called "Mutantenkino" (German for "mutant cinema") exploring the genre of ¨post-apocalypse b-movies."

The official description was:

MUTANTENKINO presents thematically compiled classics and novelties of post-apocalyptic (short) film on long outdated audiovisual carriers in a dystopian ambience at end-time locations around Berlin.

Admission is free, but donations are welcome - but please no money, because that will be worth no more than other colored paper after the doom...

The trope of the series was to 'educate and prepare for the apocalypse'. Each edition was around 2-3 hours long and featured one or two short-films, a feature film, and one episode of the cartoon series Adventure Time - all compiled to match the topic of the main feature. The feature film was never openly advertised and just hinted at by the topic and description of the individual edition. Advertisement was done via Facebook.
